Jojo Abot Plays MoMA
It is always wonderful to see my fellow Ghanaians in New York displaying their art and culture for the crowd. I was looking forward to seeing Jojo give the crowd an amazing show. Unfortunately, a little rainy weather shut down the outside stage area. However, the show must go on! So the staff at MoMA quickly adorned the inside auditorium with decorations and unusually large balloons. Right on time, Jojo came out followed by a set of amazing dancers who entertained and enchanted the crowd. You could easily see the traditional African influence in Jojo’s outfit and in her vibrant voice. As if pleasing the audience with her memorizing melodies was not enough, Jojo engaged the crowd in a surprise balloon fight free for all. I never knew Ghanaians were so fun. Or did I?
But this is a photo blog and not a review of Jojo music, so OK Google to find more info about Jojo Abot.
Press play and enjoy.
